These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Quote a Job platform ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the website you agree to these terms.

1. Our role

Quote a Job is a marketplace that connects customers with independent service providers. We do not employ tradespeople or guarantee the quality of any work carried out. Any contract for services is between the customer and the provider, not with Quote a Job.

2. User accounts

You are responsible for keeping your account details and password secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate and up‑to‑date information when registering and updating your profile.

3. Use of the platform

You agree that you will not:

• Post false, misleading, offensive or unlawful content;
• Use the platform for any illegal or fraudulent purpose;
• Harass, abuse or harm other users;
• Attempt to circumvent our systems, ratings or fees.

4. Payments

Where we charge subscription or usage fees, details will be shown clearly before you subscribe. Any payments between customers and providers for work carried out are agreed directly between those parties.

5. Reviews and ratings

Customers may leave reviews and ratings based on their experience. You agree that reviews reflect the opinion of the author, not of Quote a Job. We may remove reviews that are abusive, illegal or clearly inappropriate.

6. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the platform at any time where we reasonably believe you have breached these terms, misused the platform, or where required by law.

7. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss, damage, costs or expenses arising out of or in connection with:

• Any acts or omissions of independent providers or customers;
• Work carried out, or not carried out, by providers;
• Loss of profits, business, or data.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Where changes are material we will notify users by reasonable means. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
